Falmouth is the closest mainland port to the famed island of Martha’s Vineyard, a short 35 minute ferry ride from Falmouth Harbor and Woods Hole. Nantucket is also accessible, with ferry service leaving from Hyannis Harbor.
The fun does not stop in the off-season here on Cape Cod where the beaches remain warm later than anywhere else in New England. Fall is beautiful with foliage, winter gorgeous with snow and frozen ponds (which make excellent skating), and spring brings the daffodils and forsythia.
